Andrew Stockus is a Lithuanian-born American software and AI engineer, and the founder of BigDevelop Tech & Media, a custom software and AI engineering firm based in Central Florida. Working as a forward-deployed engineer, Stockus embeds with a client's business, turns rough ideas into working prototypes within days, and delivers production software that people use every day. Stockus has shipped more than 35 applications, AI agents and automations since 2016, working in consumer health, accessibility, financial services, logistics, hospitality and commercial real estate.

AI agents and automation
Designs and runs production AI systems: voice agents that answer real customer calls, an AI review responder covering four business locations, multi-agent workflows, and custom Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that let AI take real actions, such as turning a meal plan into a placed grocery order.
Custom software and marketplaces
Builds full-stack web platforms end to end, including two live marketplaces: one for freight logistics that matches shippers with carriers, and one for peer-to-peer car rental. The work covers accounts, bookings, card and direct ACH payments, databases and automated test suites.
Mobile apps
Ships native iOS and cross-platform mobile apps to the major app stores, including a live AI nutrition tracker that uses computer vision to log meals from photos.
Digital growth and marketing
Takes traditional businesses online and brings in customers through social media advertising, digital marketing campaigns, websites, SEO and analytics, then builds the systems that handle the growth.
Business systems and integrations
Connects the tools a business already runs on, including accounting software, property-management systems, payment terminals and SMS, and automates the manual work between them: billing, reconciliation, onboarding, scheduling and reporting dashboards.
Early life
Stockus was born in Kaunas, Lithuania, and immigrated to the United States at age 10. Stockus is a United States citizen and is based in Central Florida.
Retail career
From 2008 to 2014, Stockus worked for a national health and wellness retailer. Over six years, Stockus held five progressively senior roles: sales associate, key holder, assistant store manager, store manager and market manager. As market manager, Stockus was responsible for the profit and loss of multiple stores.
According to Stockus, this period was a lesson in how businesses actually operate and how to earn the trust of the people doing the work, and it became the foundation of a later approach to engineering.
BigDevelop
Stockus began building software professionally in 2016 and in 2017 founded BigDevelop Tech & Media, a custom software and AI engineering firm. Stockus personally leads each engagement, from the first discovery conversation through prototype, production and iteration.
Analog-to-digital transformation
Much of Stockus's work focuses on modernizing traditional, offline businesses. Stockus builds their digital presence through social media advertising, digital marketing campaigns and websites, then builds the systems they need to handle the resulting growth, including payments, scheduling, AI phone agents and reporting dashboards.
Health technology
Stockus built a live AI nutrition-tracking iOS app that uses computer vision to turn meal photos into calorie and macronutrient logs. Stockus also built a voice-controlled accounting interface for vision-impaired users: spoken questions drive an AI agent that runs the accounting software and answers out loud.
Commercial operations
Stockus serves as the embedded engineering partner to a multi-venue commercial operator that runs a food truck park with more than 100 vendors, a 200-booth market and gift retail. Systems built there include automated utility re-billing, vendor parking check-in, employee onboarding, an AI review responder covering four locations, and a 225-booth gamified treasure hunt with a companion mobile app.

Stockus describes the work as forward-deployed engineering: working directly alongside the people who will use a tool, iterating with them face to face, and moving from an ambiguous idea to production quickly.
